Hey guys. I dunno if anyone would remember me, but when I was about 12 or 13 years old, I found this website. I think I deleted my account at some point, not sure why or when. But today I was thinking about my childhood, and my old reliable blue dsi. And then I remembered this place. My old username was PIKACHUUUU.
Not trying to get too deep and personal here, but I had a pretty broken childhood. But this website was a place of friendship and safety. I had good friends, great friends, that I made here, who I could talk to and by the person I am with no judgement. I remember HullBreach made a mod role that changed your name to green but gave you 0 powers because people were always begging for mod status, and I was SOOO excited when my name became my favorite color lol
I remember Haru, and Crimson, and Domo, and Iceeman, and so many other unique personalities. There were some people I was friends with past my time at this place on Facebook or whatever. But the thing I remember the most was how happy I was to finally be part of a community.
I'm about to be 26 in October now, and I'm a much different person than I was when I was 13. But this place is something I reflect on time to time, and it makes me so happy to know it's still alive.
Thank you, SDK, because you were a small sliver of happiness in my otherwise traumatic childhood. I don't know if anyone remembers me, but if you do, I hope you also grew up to have a great life.
This blog is great! it’s awesome to see you coming back here after years! and hope all is well with you fellow old member! those times back then were pretty special, today is just so different now after covid and everything else but back then it felt so simple
