The first time I've ever had sleep paralysis it was on summer break when I had just graduated 7th grade, (I think anyways.. couldve been spring break or sumthin)
I awoke in the middle of the night, unable to move. I was lying on my back, and was facing my closed door. Then, my door opened slowly and through the crack a large black figure can be seen. Immediately I realize I must be having sleep paralysis and close my eyes as to not shit my pants over the imaginary man in my doorway. While my eyes are closed there are some weird noises going on in my ears and it was like garbled whispers with some other noises that sounded like weird wind put through various effects. As i am lying in my bed with my eyes closed, i'm just listening to the noises while thinking "hm.. this is kind of bland, it could use some screams to add a little more scary-ness to it, like in horror movies or something." and right when i think that there are screams, some sounding distant and others sounding closer and at different times. "haha, nice." is what i thought when it happened (IDEK how I kept so calm?? like fr i kind of scare myself sometimes lol) after a few seconds of just listening to the weird noises, i was like "ok, i'm kind of bored of this.. time to wake up :p" and i focused on moving my toes, and once i moved my toes i tried moving my foot and then eventually i could move around again and the spooky noises were gone. So yeah, that was the first time lol. The only reason i had kept so calm during this is because when i was younger I saw a few Youtube videos about sleep paralysis and such so i knew what was going on and didn't worry to much when it actually happened to me. (thanks goodness bc holy shit, not having any idea of what sleep paralysis is and then experiencing it would make me shit myself no joke)
Second Time
The second time it happened was somewhere in my 8th grade year, and by now i knew what had caused the first experience. So i only dream and such when i'm lying on my back?? idk why but i found this out and thought that probably caused my sleep paralysis aswell. So this time when i had my sleep paralysis, I noticed that i was lying on my back and thus my theory was proved right (also, every time i wake up from dreams, i am lying on my back. I am a side-sleeper, so yeah idk) Well, this time i didnt even have to open my eyes to know that i was in sleep paralysis. I just came into consciousness and immediately knew i was in sleep paralysis. So then i did the waking-up process again. Starting with my toes, then my foot, and then the rest of me and then i just went back to sleep bc i aint gonna lose mah sleep over a demon on a school night.
Third time
Its the same story as the second time so yeah :p I don't even know why sleeping on my back triggers this stuff, but my mom said it happens to her and her brother so thats just a weird thing that runs in the family i guess :/
that shit sounds scary as fuck what the hell yk im gonna shit my pants if that happens to me fr i never even had a nightmare but a sleep paralysis nah igtg im scared nterest crying emoji
I had one when I was real small. Could hear deep, heavy breathing, and was stuck in my bed, staring at the window. I watch this tall, thin man made of black ooze (or fog idfk) squeeze through, and approach. I was weirdly calm, as he placed a hand on me and began to open his mouth and 'pull me toward' (i felt the pull but obviously no movement)
At some point, I fully wake up, and NO SHIT, i was SO disappointed. Like- lil 3-4yo me, I was THRILLED by that experience, and felt so blah after. And this is 3-4yo me, the underexposed kid, who was scared of grass and baths, and couldn't use a toilet.
