We’ve had the rating system for blogs for a while, but they seem lacking in some ways. As we begin having more mature topics and discussions, does it seem worth flagging more mature content with descriptors under the titles, like movies and TV shows have? I bring it up because some topics could be sensitive for certain readers who have experienced traumas in life. Here are a few potential descriptors that come to mind: Violence, Death, Drug Use, Sexuality, etc. We could have guidelines for what each descriptor encompasses (such as alcohol being under Drug Use), but it would ultimately be up to the admins rating blogs to decide.
I'm ambivalent since I read through every blog that I want to feature/rate, so it really adds no extra overhead. And if it helps even some in this community, I think it's a great thing to consider adding.

I agree completely, and since the current rating system is loosely based on the ESRB's, I think that adding the same criteria that they do to the video games they rate would work for blogs as well.
(Their rating system is far better than those of the MPAA or FCC IMO.)
maybe a section in blog creation for adding trigger warnings?

Definitely a good idea, and something that would be invaluable when writing about messed up subjects.
(Like some of the messed up stuff in the Old Testament I'm having to address in my trans rights blog.)
