Okay,so with cartoons something you should know about me is that my big number one show is Futurama. I seriously thought it ended well on its Comedy central run but it came back on Hulu for some reason. (Heard mixed things,have yet to check it out fully.) I honestly like the show even with all its ups and downs. With the show I'm talking about right now,its....complicated? I never really know peoples' stance with Family Guy.Sometimes i browse 4chans /co/ board and whenever people discuss it,its either one of three camps:
1.I hate it,it sucks,it was never good,Matt and Trey were right
2.The old episodes were decent,it degraded in quality over time
3.I watch it ironically/good background noise.

I'm in camp #2. I still like the old episodes and the last good episode i remember liking genuinely was"Dog bites Bear". But with this show i feel like there is a secret 4th camp of people who love it as much as i love Futurama,the "genuines" are probably hiding out on deviantart or AO3(maybe?) somewhere. Futurama and Family guy do seem to have things in common with each other to a fault.(One is just basically dumber than the other lol) But i guess I'll be nostalgic for the episodes of Family Guy that actually land for me.While i may not be a number 4 anymore,(i had a Seth Mcfarlane fangirl phase,it was awful,its my life cone of shame.) I still have fond memories of how it used to make me "laugh and cry" on a good day. I may never understand the internets' relationship with the show(im still shocked there isnt a Supereyepatchwolf video about it),but i do understand that if a show is groundbreaking enough it'll have its fans and retractors regardless! What are your thoughts on Family Guy? Are there other shows like this that come to mind? Let me know in the comments and ill catch you guys later!
