Guns cocked directly outside. Charles had found them. "Come out, come out you impudenant brat!" Therese didn't answer. There was quick whispering. Within a blink of an eye, the door was knocked fown with a loud bang. Therese ducked behind an old barrel of gunpowder. "There." Charles whispered and pointed at the barrel. "Their closing in at 10 and 2!!" Livinnya whispered, not that she needed to, they wouldn't hear her, maybe. Therese noded, as the first beads of sweat came. This was life or death. Therese chose life. Therese rolled out from behind the barrel, so fast, she surprised Charles and his brother. That was all she needed. With her eyes closed, Therese shot in the directions of 10 and 2 and released her entire round. She heard yelps of pain, and mild thuds. Then quiet. Therese lowered her gun, made sure the gun wounds were fatal, then got the heck outta there. She tried to follow the path they took to get there, but soon abandoned the idea when she saw more bandits coming. She wandered around for awhile until she came upon the clearing in which she was captured in. There stood a worried Layne and King Baltimoor. When they Therese, they sighed sighs of relief and began on their way again. "Next time," Layne began, "Of your'e having trouble or lagging behind tell us, and we'll take a break." Therese nodded, she wouldn't forget it either, that was as near death as she wanted to go, but something told her more danger was ahead, and it would be worse than the bandits.Bandits, ugh.
