I am going to tell you about Tahretts Syndrome. A student in my 5th grade class has it.
Tahretts syndrome is a genetic brain disability. Every 3 in 1,000 people have it. Someone in my class has it. a paragraph as an exaple of Tahretts that my friend made up: "Mike is like any other kid. He gets noticed a lot, but not for his cool skateboard. Mike gets notice because he has Tahretts Syndrome. He shruggs a lot and twitches. Mike cant help it. The syndrome of Tahretts makes him do that stuff.".
Tahretts syndrome makes you twitch and shrugg a lot. You cant help it. The symptoms are called tics. You may be thinking about the tick parasite, but its not a bug. It makes it hard for you to concetrate because your trying not to "tic".
Think of little people in your brain working, they all have jobs to do. With Tahretts you have extra people in your brain. There always bored. The play around and make you blink, shrugg, or twitch. Thats what its like. It would be really hard to do school work. Tahretts is genetic. It runs in families. If your mom or dad has it, your likely to have it, too. If you think about it every 3 in a 1,000 people is a lot of people with Tahretts.
I thought I would share that with SDK. And please, if you see someone with Tahretts syndrome, dont stare. Would you like someone staring at you?
The Mike thing and his skateboard is so cheesy. I rolled my eyes and thought it was something an adult tells a 4th grader in a book LOL
Well, when I was much younger doctors thought I(and my twin brother) had Tourettes because we would shout and do odd things lol Then they dismissed it for ADHD but I doubt I have that either...
Oh and my sister's ex/baby daddy has Tourettes. People usually stare and he notices it. He shouts sometimes and twitches and blinks his eye oddly.
Tourette Syndrome (correct Spelling) as Hull said can be not just hereditary, but can also be acquired from an accident & such. Some person's with Tourretes swear uncontrollably, but there are other person's with other uncontrollable actions. Disorders associated with Tourette are: Obssessive-Compulsive Disorder [OCD], Attention Deficit Disorder [ADD], & other mental illnesses. It usually begins to show itself in childhood.
