The Dignitas clinic,Forch, is an assisted suicide clinic and since it opened 840 people have travelled there to help end their lives due to having painfull long term ilnesses like MS-Multiple Sclorosis (An disease that slowly destroys the muscle and leaves the sufferer unable to walk, short term memory loss and in a lot of pain. 102 of these were British citezens. Howether people that travel with their loved ones to spend precious last moments with them and too make them more comftable often end up being prosecuted when they return home and often they end up being sent to jail. An example of this is Bert Hedeby. He traveled to switzerland with his wife who suffers from ms to help her die. When he returned to the uk he got charged and was sent to prison for 3 years. All he wanted to do was to stop his wife from suffering and thats what she wanted and he ended up getting jailed for it. I believe this is wrong as it is legal to end your life and be with someone when they die in switzerland.
Assisting a suicide? well....I wouldn't help someone to die o.o
I don't think it is right to actually HELP physically, someone to die, but i would take it as a right choice IF first, the person who assited it tryed to avoid it,
If thats what he/her REALLY wanted, assisting it wouldn't be wrong, but wouldn't be good either
If people want something, let them have it.. The same applies to suicide. There should be a more legal method for this- lethal injections at hospitals maybe?
