Sonic is back with his old-school style riding with him! This time, he brings something that has been in games from the Sonic Adventure series onward: The Homing Attack.
Storyline
Sonic 4 takes place after Sonic & Knuckles (which was originally released 15 years ago). After the destruction of the Death Egg by Super Sonic, and Angel Island's power was restored, Sonic decided to go on vacation. Little did Sonic know, Dr. Eggman survived the explosion. He then went back to the best of his creations, and refined them (with a few budget cuts).
I rate this part 8/10.
Gameplay
The physics in this game were very different from the original platformers. Dash pads were abundant, and the Special Stages were difficult. As far as I'm concerned... 9/10
Music
I enjoyed the music. It made me feel ever-quick throughout the game. 8/10
Graphics
I used to be against 2D platforming with 3D graphics (except with Smash Bros games... but that's mostly a beat-'em-up fighter game)... This game is starting to change my mind. 6/10
Overall
I really enjoyed playing the game (especially when PWNing the levels as Super Sonic! >). It's a very fun game. Who cares about the pot-bellied Sonic anyway? I like the Adventure-style better. 7/10
