The opion on violence in video games is pretty divided. Some peoople (mostly parents believe that if a child plays violent video games such as Grand Theft Auto or C.O.D they will grow up and try to do these things in real life. Some countries like Australia are so worried about this games have to be specialy made to meed the governments standards. For example Left 4 Dead in Australia has no gore. In my opion I think violent video games are an outlet for kids. If your really mad you just cant go around killing people but in video games you can let out your anger and no real person gets hurt. If it wasnt for video games some kids would probally be out there doing bad things. Just something to conssider...
In my opinion, if someone's parents are going to buy a M rated game to their children, they should supervise their children and let them play about an hour or shouldn't buy them games at all.
Also, I think that people who commit crimes because the games inspired them are mentally ill.
I don't know if this is true but i've heard of a case of a child that was about 12 years old or something that killed his parents because his parents took the game Halo because his parents thought he played the game too much and was obssesed.
There is a rating system for a reason. M games are labled that way because it has content suitable for over 17 year olds. depending on your age and maturity level, that is the basis of how you should play. an outlet is fine. but you dont need a bloody gory game to do so. WII sportsis a great outlet.
If you don't want your children to play them: Don't allow them to buy them! Damn you, Australia. I was about to buy a copy of L4D from my Foriegn Exchange student from there, but I guess I don't want to now.
