The DSi's browser frankly, kinda sucks. There are some ways though to make it work a little better without a download.
1. Use igoogle
- First, go to m.google.com. Then, go to the upper right-hand corner and click igoogle. Scroll to the bottom and click preferences. Change to format pages to phone.
2. Skweezer
- Go to www.skweezer.com. This site reformats any site to a mobile format.
3. Basicly, try typing m. or mobile. in front of any site you use.
- With cellphones, PSPs, and Nintedo DSis coming onto the scene with mobile internet, many sites have created mobile friendly versions of their sites.
4. Look at the List
- Go to TheJvg72's blogs for a list of cool DSi specific websites.
<(^-^)>Well, thats all I have. If anyone has any other tips, tricks, whatever for the DSi browser or in general please post them here.
its great that nitendo added a web browser to the dsi. but because the dsi has such a small memory capacity (to go on things like youtube anyways) nitendo could not add 'flash' to it. im sure nitendo will and are trying to make hand-held console with a bigger memory capacity.
The Nintendo DSi browser is actually one of the most advanced mobile browsers on the market. (Just try something that uses AJAX, like this website's chatrooms, on another mobile browser.) About 90% of mobile devices use Opera 9.x series, as the DSi does. Pocket Internet Explorer lacks about 30% of the features of Opera Mobile. Safari for the Apple products is about on par with Opera Mobile since both browsers strive for standards compliance.
I haven't tried 1 or 2, but for 3 the "wap." (wireless access point) subdomain will work, too. Some websites even have the top-level domain of ".mobi". For those who haven't noticed, you can access TWiiter and HB Online in the DS/DSi format on another browser by adding "/ds" to the address. The websites auto-forward when a DS/DSi is being used.
