Frogs are amphibians. Frogs have to be moist all the time. They are often green, but can be brown, blue, black, yellow and many other colors. Amphibians are animals quite like reptiles, but amphibians live half their lifes in water and the other half on land. The biggest frog is the goliath frog. It can grow up to the size of a new born baby. The smallest frog can fit on your fingernail.
Now, most people have heard of toads, but their a different story. Toads are also amphibians, but they dont have to be moist all the time. You've heard of the saying "If you kiss a toad you'll get warts" right? That saying comes from the bumps on their body. These "warts" store water so they can drink water when there is none. But they still need a puddle to live by.
Frogs and toads have to eat too. But they eat bugs ands snails. Frogs and toads have long flexible tounges. When they see a fly, for example, they come in on it and SLURP! Their tounges come out, touches the fly, and the fly sticks to the tounge, and the tounge pulls the fly into the frog or toad's mouth. They do the same thing for slugs, dragonflies, and any other insect.
