Control Unit(CU)

The Control Unit is the main part of the cpu.Input is first sent to the cu,from where it is then sent to the allocated of the computer to be processed.The CU decides whereto send data to be processed.After processing,the information is returned to the Control Unit.

Arithmetic Logic Unit(ALU)

The ALU performs all thevarithmetic and logic functions in the computer.Arithmetic operations include addition,subtraction,multiplication and division.Logic operations are comparisons such as <,> or =.

Main Memory

The Main Memory wich is directly accesible to the cpu,holds data and instructions that the computer is procesding at the time.
