On the Wake of the 3DS, Sony have been hinting about the great and awesome PSP2. Not much is know about the PSP2 at the moment, but i'm absolutely certain that it will crush the 3DS in gaming. It has a confirmed touch control pad, similar to a DSi touch screen, but it will act as a dual analog control, though it already has dual sticks (finally). other rumors are a 1ghz snapdragon processor, HD display and an even BIGGER screen. oh did i mention the 2 cameras? front facing, and an 8 MP rear facing camera! oh. and all you people disappointed over the PSP GO! (ie, everyone that bought one) Wont have to fret any longer. the PSP2 WONT Use UMDs, but they will start making the games on memory stick-like devices. Below is the upcoming PSP Phone Yeah i said it. Phone... it is like a mix of the samsung captivate, and the PSP Go. Note the Touchpad in the center. that is rumored to be similar to the on that is on the PSP2. The Phone will be running the newest Android 3.0 with a phone-specific skin, and there will be a new area of the Android Market specifically for the games.Games will be graphically in the range of PSX or PSP games, meaning true 3D gaming is headed to Android. Titles currently being shown off seem to be focused around some older PSX as well as new PSP offerings, with God of War, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and LittleBigPlanet possibly on tap, and future plans for titles which incorporate augmented reality features. So, i'll say it again. uMad, nintendo?
Meet the Sony PSP2, codenamed NGP. Sony's next-generation handheld gaming device will focus on the following areas: Revolutionary User Interface, Social Connectivity, Location-based Entertainment, Converging Real and Virtual (augmented) Reality. Features include a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 5-inch touchscreen OLED display with 960 x 544 resolution, dual analog sticks, 3G, WiFi, GPS, a rear-mounted touchpad, the same accelerometer / gyroscope motion sensing technology in the PlayStation Move controllers, an electronic compass, and front and rear cameras. Update!
OMG IT HAZ CAMERAZ

OMG IT HAS TOUCHY SCREEN THING

OMG TEH 3DS STOLED MAI 3D POWAHS
...yes, yes it did...
First, HD isn't an easy technology to deal with, second...Why the Blast we need 1080i In a Small Handheld screen???? YOU WON'T EVEN NOTICE THE DIFFERENCE O-O!
And, displaying HD would SUCK UP The battery life without saying its useless, and a handheld isn't supposed to have 15 minutes of battery o.e"
The PSP2 Can have The God's power, Nobody gives a crap,
comparing PSP and DS graphical (or general "power" capabilities may look stupid, but the DS sold more than 2x
And even if 3DS graphical (or geberal "power" quality is under PSP2 it is good enough to support good games...and it has 3D
Nothing personal, but Sony has been failing since the Nintendo DS release.
8 gigapixels? Oh I think not, that is one strange misprint. I don't know what you meant there. Anyway, the whole phone thing is never confirmed but I don't like the idea because I hate smart phones.I also don't like mixing a gaming device with something else. A game console should be just that.
If I'm correct, the Best-Selling console was the GameBoy Family, am I correct? Besides, Sony has always done a half-arsed job on things. Having not played anything but the PS1 and sometimes the PS2, and the fact that most people throw their PSP's against walls[all models], I'd say Microsoft/Nintendo will be the only two left in a few years.
and the PSP2 will have the touch pad on the BACK (yeah sounds pretty dumb, but its different)and another typo, i meant Memory STICKS, not stick like (yet again, rumor) and the 1ghz is in fact, just the PSP Phone, yet the PSP 2 will have twice the ram of an xbox 360
OH my bad, the GIG was a typo, i was typing this too fast, and unlike MOST game system reviews, i typed this on my own. and teopless, apparently you dont read very much, because the PSP phone is very much REAL the picture is just an engadget mock up of it, NOT the PSP2, dont believe the PSP phone is real? read this http://www.cnet.com/8301-19736_1-20020829-251.html
Based off all of the 3DS' features and support from developers, I'd say you're wrong. Nintendo has always, and almost certainly continue, dominating everyone completely in the handheld market. Even though it's highly likely that Sony's next handheld will be stronger than the 3DS hardware-wise, that did nothing to stop the PSP from selling an abysmal (for handhelds) 50 million units. The DS and Wii (the 2nd and 3rd best selling gaming systems ever, respectively) have proven that power isn't a determining factor. I 1 year, you will see that I am correct.
