"Well that's quite strange..." Alejandre murmured. Suddenly, a light bulb went off in his mind.
"I got it!" he exclaimed cheerfully. He rushed out the back door and into the backyard. He flung the shed door open and retrieved a screwdriver. He raced back into his living room and the time capsule was still in the living room.
"This isn't a dream," he thought to himself. He was actually quite astonished, curious, and afraid. All of those emotions wrapped into one moment. One moment that could change his own life, and the planet Earth as we know it.
He faced it and directed the screwdriver towards the huge bolt on the smooth side of the time capsule. The screwdriver went through, what seemed like the gravitational force of it.
Once he unscrewed the bolt, the latch flung itself into oblivion immediately afterward.
The door that was once closed on the time capsule snapped itself wide open. All he could see in the opening was as black as the inside of a wormhole in outer space. A tiny light that flashed every color in the color spectrum lit up. That was when he heard a recorded voice, as if there was a cassette tape hidden somewhere in it.
"Thank you, for opening up this time capsule," said the monotonous voice that sounded neither male, nor female. It didn't even sound human. Or like anything he had ever heard on Earth, even. But strangely, he could understand everything it was saying.
"If you haven't noticed, at this very moment, time is completely frozen. Time has left the Earth ever since this time capsule made contact with the atmosphere. Time will commence immediately after I am done telling you what I need to say. The things that will come out of this time capsule will either suprise you, or not at all," the voice continued on.
"So I am hoping that a government official has this in their hands, and not someone that is unexperienced with this sort of thing. But to whoever this may concern, you must keep this time capsule intact for the next three days, as there are three things that this time capsule has in store for this planet. Planet Earth, as you Humans like to call it? In conclusion, I will be back tomorrow to showcase the first artifact. Goodbye."
The light turned off, and Alejandre was left in complete and utter confusion.
