Hi! The last two recipes I blogged were from a book, but now I'm going to use ones that my family and I made up, and they're smaller, so I put 3 in one. Enjoy!
Recipe 3: Spiced Eggnog Pancakes
You will need:
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
2 eggs lightly beaten
2 cups eggnog
1/4 cup cooking oil
How to prepare:
1) in a bowl combine the flour and the other dry ingredients.
2) in a second bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.
3) stir the eggnog mixture into the flour mix until it becomes slightly lumpy.
4) pour 1/2 cup of batter per pancake on the griddle and Enjoy!
Recipe 4: Monkey Bread
You will need:
3 cups flour
3/8 cup water
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp shortening ( or margarine )
1 1/2 tbsp sugar
1 1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp yeast
How to make it:
1) put all the ingredients in a bread machine and set on dough cycle.
2) when it's done take it out and flatten with a little flour so it's not sticky. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
3) roll it out and let it rise for 45 minutes or more if needed.
4) bake at 375* F for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Recipe #5: Bacon and cheese waffles!
you will need:
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 cup sour cream
2 cups of pancake or biscuit mix
6 to 8 strips of bacon that are cooked and crumbled
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
How to make it:
1) beat the egg, add milk, sour cream and butter. Stir in the pancake mix well. Fold in the bacon and cheese. Bake in a waffle iron.
Recipe #6: Peachy Pineapple Smoothie!
you will need:
1 can of sliced peaches in syrup, drained
1/2 cup of chilled pineapple juice
1/4 cup sugar
1 pint of vanilla ice cream.
How to make it:
1) mix the first four ingredients in a blender until smooth.
2) Add ice cream and enjoy!
