The year: 1998. I was 3 years old, and had two brothers older than me by 10 and 11 years. They had Gameboys, and they also had a Nintendo 64, which they played for HOURS- as much as they could. I often sat in their room watching them play games, and sometimes they let me play with them! They played all types of games; Perfect Dark, Dr. Mario, Banjo-Kazooie, Bomberman, Starfox, to name a few. But I was really interested in one particular game.
That year was the year a certain game took the world by storm. That game has since been critically acclaimed- it has gained perfect scores by many respected reviewers. Even today it is regarded by many to be the best game of its series- maybe one of the best games ever made.
You've probably guessed it by now. That game was The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time. I was obsessed with that game so much that my brothers let me make my own log file (Well, my sisters and I). I played OoT any chance I could. Funny thing is, I never could get out of Kokiri Village!
As I grew up (and finally figured out how to get out of that darn village after so many years!) more Zelda games were released. My brothers got every single one, and continued to allow me to use a log file- after they beat the whole game first, of course!
Most of my time spent with my brothers was when we played games together. In 2003, with the release of The Wind Waker, my eldest brother was going off to college. He gave me his consoles and games, including my beloved Zelda games. In 2006 he mailed my sisters and I the newly released Twilight Princess, and in 2010 he gave us his DS- along with Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks.
Needless to say the Zelda series is a big nostalgic part of my life. I have since played all the released Zelda games, but OoT will always hold a special place in my heart as my first.
Long live The Legend of Zelda!
OoT is good because it's long+ the storyline; ButI like Majora's Mask better. Majora's Mask has even BETTER gameplay than OoT. You could change to 5 forms. It's just plain awesome. :'D
Wow we are alike OoT was the thing that got me intrested in OoT although i only played 4 games of the series (really wanna play TP but i have no wii) due to the fact that i only have a nintendo and Ds
