Just a sidenote before we begin: I'm not an expert with redstone, but I've learned a few neat tricks, which, let's be honest, is a lot more than a lot of people. xP
So for any Minecraft newbies and/or noobs out there, redstone is pretty much the electricity of Minecraft. It can be used to power doors, minecart tracks, etc. For it to work, you need an input and an output, and for distances, redstone.
Inputs:
-Levers: have an "on" signal and an "off signal. If multiple levers are connected to one output, all leers must be off the send an "off" signal.
-Pressure plates: can be wood or stone. Stone plates are the same as woden ones, but can't be triggered by items or empt minecarts.
-Button: when pressed, sends an "on" signal for about 1 second.
Output:
-Doors: opens with an "on" signal, closes with an "off."
-Tracks: when a 3-way intersected track is powered, the direction is changed. [more details later]
-Dispensers: every time it recieves an "on" signal, it fires a random item stored inside.
-Water: this one's tricky. I will go into more detail in a later blog.
TNT: activated with an "on" signal, easy as that.
Now, redstone torches can be input or output. Again, I'll cover that in a later blog.
That''s all for now, hopefully I can get part 2 out tomorrow. Until then, bye!
: D i love redstone! Its so fun to make traps with (multiplayer with craftbook plugin). "press the doorbell" Uh, ok. Ding Dong... *floor drops out from beneith them using [ bridge ] signs, and fall to their deaths* so much fun!
