I am here to explain the difference as it seems many people dont understand

An anagram is when the letters of a word are mixed up, in a gamehsow you are given the scrambled word and must re-arrange it back into the origional word.

This is not an acronym!

eg, HRIAC is and anagram of CHAIR


An acronym is when the first letters of a phrase are taken to form a new word such as CPU is central porcessing unit, or DS is dual screen etc.

In a gameshow you are given a word and you use the letters in that word to make a sentence using the letters in the order they appear in the word,
