We can all admit that at atleast once or twice in our lives we`ve found ourselves envious of another person. It is ok to say that envy(in a certain way) is a regular feeling that we get sometimes. For instance: If you`ve competed in a competition and lost then you might feel alittle envious of the winner in comparison to yourself or if there is a clothing/electronic item you desire but can`t afford but you see that someone else has it you might feel envious of that person. But it`s ok sometimes because like i said before, we all feel envy. But it is not ok to begin to feel that you deserve something over someone else. Envy is an emotion that is evoked from someone who lacks something but(in a way) is mad that someone else has it. It can be anything from beauty to wealth. This emotion is mostly derived from a low self-esteem. Under certain circumstances envy can become dangerous if this person feels that if something had happened different then they could have had that quality over the next person. Then they become regretful and revengful. I agree with envy being a sin because I believe everything happens for a reason and that we should all be genuinely happy with ourselves and what we don`t have but need we can get with hard work and knoledge.PEACE.
