Super Paper Mario launched in all territories in 2007 for the Nintendo Wii, it was originally for the Nintendo GameCube but was "silently moved over" to the Wii. It is the 3rd in the Paper Mario series and now "flips" the formula into a new dimension. Mario has set out to find the 8 Pure hearts to stop the void from devouring the land.
Presentation: 8.5 Super Paper Mario has refined the paper feel of the series with a twist with the new 3D mechanic it has much of the land out fitted for immense exploring of the multiple worlds. Although much of the paper elements from past games have not been shown in the this game as before, apart from a lot of 2D.
Music: 8.5 Super Paper Mario has a few memorable tracks but not as much as it's predecessors, much of the music has an old feeling to it from remixes to completely new chip tunes.
Gameplay: 8.5 With the new addition of 3D Mario and company are left to dodge multiple obstacles or search for a way to open a locked door while you have to race for 3D is only limited for a short period of time while your gauge slowly ticks down to until you start losing HP. Super Paper Mario is formated in a way similar to Super Mario Bros. on the Nintendo Entertainment System with the exclusion of RPG elements and inclusion of just the normal stomp on enemies to fight ability. With the ability to play as either Mario, Bowser, Luigi, and Peach each player has their own ability like Mario can go in 3D mode, Bowser has fire, Peach can use her umbrella, and Luigi can jump high, but all do the same when they grab a star in the field and transform trampling enemies in the process. Pixls add to the mix just the same way as partners did in Paper Mario but really they just pretty much the same things as the partners and restored the hammer ability Mario had in the old games.
Length: 8 Super Paper Mario has some parts we're you'll be stumped adding to the length of the game but really each level has its share of length, some short or long. After you complete the story it wouldn't take long to finish the remaining side quests.
Appeal: 7 As for the story, it's comedy will keep you entertained for awhile and then you'll just start going into the game. After awhile once you beat main story you will wander around looking for something to do but you'll get bored after awhile trying to pick the game back up in the next days, two days, maybe even weeks. As for the story you can go back into it but not in a rush might just even plan to play it if you have to.
-Final Verdict-
Super Paper Mario is considered the worst in the series considered to it's predecessors, if you like 2D Mario games this game is perfect while you get a clichéd storyline you still get where it's coming from in the Mario world. Many aspects of the game could have been fixed to keep the elements of an RPG to make this a great Paper Mario game, but hey it's a change. If you like side scrollers you can pick up Super Paper Mario for the Nintendo Wii.

Score: 8.1 Great Next review: The Conduit
I think this game would've had higher potential should it include more content. I bought it, played it once, never played it again because i finished so quickly. But TTYD is by far better. So +1, nice review.
