I see some poeple have read my blog on Nuclear energy. I hope to write a blog on fusion now that i've written a blog on fission... but i thought i would skip ahead to anti-matter energy.
First off, anti-matter is just like matter... but it's inside out. Matter is composed of a proton/neutron core and an electron cloud surrounding it. In anti-matter, the core is anti-protons and possibly anti-neutrons with a positron cloud (positron is a term for anti-electrons, positively charged). When matter and anti-matter touch, they immediatly burst, resulting in a complete purge of all of the energy that they consist of with a 100%* rate of energy transversal.
Here is some background on anti-matter and matter. After the big bang, for millions of years nothing but energy from the big bang existed. Now, the big bang is the point of creation for the universe. After a few billion years, the energy from the big bang started to slow down in frequency. From this new form, matter and anti-matter particles known as quarks and anti-quarks randomly and sporadically were transitioned into existence from pure energy. for every 100,000,000 particles of anti-matter that formed, 100,000,001 particles of matter also formed. As the particles clashed together and turned back into energy, that single particle survived out of the clash. These leftover particles are what our visible universe is made of now.
Currently, anti-matter is the most expensive thing that mankind can create. We are currently looking into means of using anti-matter as a fuel source. Anti-matter can be found from solar deposits, but it is very rare and dangerous (not to mention practically science fiction) to harvest with our technology. Anti-matter is exponentially more powerful than any other fuel we have, including atomic fusion and fission materials. A single pound of anti-matter could fuel a country for months.
Please comment or add anything i may have not mentioned about anti-matter. Thanks.
We have made anti-matter with particle accelerators, but only in the anti-forms of the smallest particles. The largest its ever gotten was a hydrogen atom that lasted less than a second. (Hydrogen = proton orbited by electron, Anti-hydrogen= anti-proton orbited by positron) This stuff is expensive as anything, and can't even be successfully used, thus its basically useless in everday life.
As I recall, its also pushing the universe apart to the extent that eventually gravity will fail and even atoms will be pulled apart. That may be dark matter, my physics is rough. Its also believed to fuel ufo's, lol.
everyone knows cern right??there is were the antimatter first was "discovered". And as u mentioned our world, our galaxy was created by the conflict of antimatter which means that someone "put" antimatter there???
