It's summer, so it's a great time to stay indoors and play a video game!!!!

But which game you ask?

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time was released on the N64 in 1998, and then became Game of the Year for 1999. With its 3D environments and characters, a new story, new gameplay mechanics, and new weapons, dungeons, and equipment, LoZ OoT instantly became a legend, a classic, and overall an epic game.

Recently with Nintendo's new creation, the 3DS, a remade version of this classic tale came to us in mid July. With new features, upgraded graphics, and 3D compatibility, this game is as good as the original. Here's why.

Story- 10/10
The epic tale of Link, a kokori forest boy, finding his way to become the Hero of Time, is still shown verbatim in this remake. Even if you've played the N64 version (who hasn't?) the story still is, well a great story.

Gameplay- 9.9999/10
The reason I say it isn't perfect is because I think the new gyroscope controls arent my style xD but new gamers will find it EXTEMELY useful while on horseback or in a shooting range game. The old mechanics are still shown though. Press B to swing your mighty sword or press A to interact with the environment. A newcomer or a LoZ veteran will easily take control of Link against the evil Ganondorf.

I must admit, I bought LoZ songs from iTunes for my iPhone. I love the music in this game. LoZ OoT gave us great classics like Saria's song, Song of Storms, even the Kokori Forest medley. Having a button specifically for the Ocarina, its easy to play a tune on the spot, and also it doesn't need a button slot anymore!!

New Features- 9.5/10

The new gyroscope aiming will be of use to you, making easy shots at bosses or targets. If it's not your style, press start and turn it off in the options! After beating the game, LoZ OoT 3D gives you the Master Quest edition. A completely mirrored vision of hyrule is included with the harder bosses and more intense dungeons. Letting you use the Sheikah Stones at the Temple of Time or near your home, it's easy if you don't know how to beat a boss or get to the next area (even though I personally think it's cheap )

Overall- 11/10

This is a must buy game for 3DS owners. It's fun, exciting, and overall a great game!!
