As night fell all the preparation were ready for Maddie to become alpha and the whole pack was buzzing except Alex and, secretly, Tag however, Tag couldn't show how unenthusiastic he was due to his reputation.

Alex, on the other hand, was making use of the fact this was the last chance she had to annoy Maddie, risk-free, or so she thought.

Alex was doing everything in her power to annoy Maddie and by the time Maddie's coronation was about to begin, Maddie was ready to rip Alex's throat out.

'I now pronounce you, Maddie, the official alpha female of Stone valley pack.' A loud cheer rose from the crowd as the current alpha male spoke.

Eager to ruin the moment, Alex went to jump on the large stone being used as a stage. However, Tag had other ideas, he knew that this would get Alex in danger so tryed to grab Alex's tail in his mouth but was mere seconds too slow.

'Alex!' He roared, only a short moment before Maddie howled in rage and snarled 'You've gone too far now, Mutt! And as I'm offically alpha, there's no-one who can stop me doing this!' Maddie leaped at Alex, teeth bared, claws gleaming in the moonlight and a deadly, blood-red glaze to her eyes.
