How it all began-
I woke up in the morning a few days ago, I went outside to take in some fresh air. I look across the street only to see a small, malnourished cat laying still in my best friend's driveway. I wonder, Is she dead or asleep? I walk over to the cat and gently tap her on the stomach. She rolls over and opens her big green eyes and lets out a faint, "Hmph." I picked up the tiny cat. All she was was skin and bones. She was either locked up or was unable to hunt for food. I took her around back of my house and tried to feed her some dry cat food. She sniffed at it and tried to eat it but she couldn't. I looked in her mouth only to see that she had very little teeth and the teeth she had left we very small and sensitive. I gave her some canned cat food and she ate it as fast as she could. I gave her another can and she ate it all. I gently stroked her back and when she was done she meowed her tiny meow and sat on my lap. I sat there for a while. Listening to her purr. After a while, she got up and went her own way.
Day Two- I hadn't seen the cat since that morning so I wondered if she would come back. I walked outside with a plate of canned cat food to see if she was there. I found that she had made a little bed in my mom's flower garden. She jumped up and meowed at me. I gave her the food and she thanked me by biting my finger. I didn't want to leave the cat but I had a long, busy day ahead of me. So I left for my day, worried about what might happen to the poor cat. I came back later that night around 11 PM the cat was still there, in the exact same place I left her. I was really tired so I gave her a kiss and went inside.
Day Three- I had another long day ahead of me so I hurried up and got the cat's food ready. She wasn't there so I set the food down and went on with my day. After a fun time with my friends at the water park, I came home to see that my brother had given the kitty a bath and she look extremely happy. My mom couldn't resist the cat's big, beautiful eyes. She said that if it was still waiting by Monday, She would take it to the vet. I left her there and went to bed.
Day four- It was Monday and the cat was still there, after work, my mom and I took the cat to the vet. She wasn't in perfect condition and she was very old. She didn't have any diseases and health issues though. So the little, fragile, malnourished cat was lucky. She went to bed that night with a full stomach and knowing that the day ahead of her would turn out well.
Day five-
I woke up to a strange sandpaper feeling on my face. I open my eyes and the cat is right on my chest. My mom had decided it was too hot for the old cat to be outside and let her inside. The whole day, I was petting the cat and playing with her. I still had not come up with a name for the beautiful cat. Now as I type, this little cat lay next to me with a peaceful look on her face, snoring. This cat is truly lucky that I found her and when I found her she was only three pounds. She almost weighs five pounds and is being significantly playful. I sill have to come up with a name for this cat but I think her name should have a great meaning. Because she is so beautiful and wise. I have yet to find what the future has in store for this little kitty. Until then, wish us good luck.
