I. Virtual Whatsitnow?

Well, A Virtual machine (VM) is entire Operating System, Inside... Well, an entire Operating System!
II. You lost me at Well.

An Operating system is the software programmed into the computer, to make it useable. (EX. Windows XP, 7, 98, 2000, Etc.) When you have a VM, you have an operating system, IN your operating system!
III. Then where does "Machine" come into play.

Well, To make an OS useable, you need a computer, right? WELL, You dedicate RAM, Hard Drive space, even your internet connection to it!
IV. Ha, I bet Virtual is in front of EVERYTHING, right?

Well, Yeah.
- A Virtual Hard Drive (.vhd)
- A Virtual Machine config. file (.vhx, I think...)
