Anywho, as we all know, one of the most frustrating and physically taxing stunts to pull off is blinking. However, I'm here to tell you that, with hard work and dedication, YOU CAN BLINK. I am also here to let you in on secret blinking techniques that are used by professional blinkers. Prepare your mind to be blown.
Tip 1: When blinking, try not to focus too much on it, let it come naturally. If you try too hard, your blinking will turn sloppy and it will take more effor and more energy to pull off.
Tip 2: When blinking, try to only use your upper eyelid. Movement of the bottom lid is perhaps the most difficult thing to do in blinking and should not be taken lightly, in fact, its only used in competitions, strictly for the Pros.
Tip 3: When you first start blinking, it may benefit you to only blink in one eye at a time. This action is known as "winking." Then, when you feel comfortable enough, move on to blinking.
Tip 4: Perhaps the most important tip is to get plenty of sleep. Just like for other physical tasks, blinking requires rest, and lots of it. When you are fully rested, its easier to get in the blinking state of mind, which leads to less screwing up and better performance. Also, being fully rested rejuvinates your eyelid muscles, so you won't have to worry about a dreaded "lock down." What is a lock down you ask? Well I'll tell you
A lock down occurs when you have not had enough sleep. it completely incapcitates your ability to blink within normal parameter.
