Our universe is to our extent, vast, endless, and cold.
Leaving your house isn't a big deal, but how about leaving your home?
The universe is awe inspiring and deadly as we know it.
But that doesn't stop us from learning about it from a distance.

~13.7 billion years ago our universe was extremely small, smaller than the period at the end of this sentence. It was also extremely dense, weighing well over 100,000 tons. (Estimating)
At this time, the universe was also very hot. Thousands upon thousands of degrees hot.
The universe was like this for who knows how long until 1 day.

The tiny, hot, universe exploded. It expanded at an unmentionable pace--probably at the speed of light. It exploded with the energy of probably over 2 billion Suns. Just seconds into the explosion, atoms were formed to create elements--metals, gases such as helium, carbon monoxide, and more. The universe was beginning to form.

Days after the explosion, also known as the Big Bang theory, dust and other components combined and reacted, making stars. Planets were also under way, starting merely from dust and hunks of metals.
Galaxies were forming.

Billions of years pass with no signs of life, at least to our knowledge.
But about 4.6 billion years ago, something incredible happened: planet Earth was born, along with the rest of our solar system.
In the beginning, Earth was nothing more than a hellbound volcanic rock.
But the eruption of volcanoes contributed to the forming of our atmosphere. Ex. The carbon cycle began.
There was also more to Earth than a forming atmosphere with oxygen, carbon, and other gases.
Earth's surface had water, where cells, the building blocks of life, thrived and evolved from unicelluar organisms like ameoba to multicellular organisms such as sponges and jellyfish.

Fast forward about 4.55 billion years.
