Why should people fight over games?

Certain games out there, that many play and enjoy, ends up with a big rant. Its especially for games like: Halo, Black Ops(especially), Soul Calibur(ive heard it around when i play online), and a few other games. The same with systems: Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, nintendo handhelds, and playstation handhelds. Im the type of gamer who plays any system. i honestly dont care which is better, because in the end, its JUST a game. black ops fans take things WAY to seriously, especially where i live. certain dont have much of a problem. I like halo and call of duty, but i cant stand black ops. to be honest, all of the new ones have pretty much became the same thing. with the new one, MW3 will change everything about call of duty. Nevertheless, its still just a game. Halo has its own type of gameplay, since the first one: strategy. Its like a think and shoot, which is similar to Half-Life(one of my favorite games) style, but better. As for the difference between Resident Evil and Silent Hill; they would prefer res evil more, due to its high popularity, more movies, resident evil 4 being on the wii, and more occasionaly, Resident Evil 5. I love res evil, but i prefer silent hill. Silent Hill has a unique gameplay and incredible story line. the monsters are created out of the main characters life. manifestations. its actually a very smart type of way to create monsters. Plus its darker and way more scarier. With its dark, twisted mind bending puzzles, and great music. The only problem it had, was its fan population. Could say its about 10% lower than res evil's fans. Either way it still remains my favorite game series of all time.

thats understandable. Whichever popular franchise basically gets atleast an 8 and up. I dont trust ign with its gamescores, and comments. They gave one of my fav games, Resident Evil: Code Veronica X, a 6.75, and said the game was boring and annoying with it being kinda the same. Yeah, and it was the bestselling res evil of all time. It was amazing. I still have it on PS2, and im happy they put it on xbox live arcade and playstation store...but again, i dont listen to their ratings~ Just dont let em get to you :3

i used to have black ops for the xbox, cuz i wanted to try it, and i hated it. It doesnt matter how many ppl play it to make it good.....its only their own opinion, and this is mine: i dont like it

in all honesty, the first shooter ive ever gotten into was Half-Life. Then it was Halo. They still remain my favorite shooters ever~ lol I hate it when my so called "friends"(they use me) see me playing The Orange Box....they think its some game about an orange box o3o they had no idea what half life was, but knew what portal was, since the second one came out. Portal is amazing~ lolol

low on everything else? 10/10 on super mario galaxy 2, yep thats low alright. i think your mistaking ign with gametrailers.

Resident Evil 4 bothered me xD No zombies!

Final Fantasy makes me happy. Especially Final Fantasy XIII Vanille makes me smile when I see her smile. I wish I had a girl like her D:

If someone says a certain game is good, I'll go and try it out. You never know, they may be right. But games are meant for competition and amusement or just fun, if you aren't having none of that then there's no use for you to be playing any game. Just don't take everything seriously, unless you feel like raving about politics.

Agreed.Even though some games are based on real events, it's still just a game.I've accually have seen people cussing and taking games seriously.People get addicted to these types of games and play the whole day.I don't think it's ever going to stop.With the 3DS and MW3 it will only get worse.

It's quite sad that people take games so seriously. But yea, I agree, people need to take a chill pill. It's just a game.
