In a way, I can't agree more.

In another way, I slightly disagree. I have a girlfriend [im a guy, this is my friend's acct] that I've had a pretty continuous relationship with for a little over a year. Dating is about actually finding people you would possibly want to spend your life with. With my girlfriend, we were just friends until we actually knew who we were. Then we took the next step.

Most "couples", as they call themselves, today immediately start dating. A lot of times, they barely know each other to begin.

Just take it slowly, and you'll actually end up with a boy/girlfriend.

Not all teens are immature (most of them are xD).
I'm more mature than the average teen. Yes, I know I act like an immature idiot sometimes on this site xD but I'm alot more mature in real life. And one reason I hate school is the massive amount of immature irratating teenagers. Its hard to find decent friends, or maybe my social skills just suck xD So it kind of annoys me when people say all teens are immaure.

I have to disagree to an extent.

I'm going to sound high and mighty here so prepair your self.

I am 14, but have the maturity of an adult [untill it comes to stuffed animals, then I have the maturity of an 8 year old] I have had a boyfried two years older then me for almost two years now, its been up and down but thats beside the point, you arn't reading this to find out about my love life. I think people like me who are more mature and not all over guys like cookies on a plate, its acceptable, but people that are just in it to ' Mess around ' should stop and think about it, and maybe slow down a little.

So my point is, if you're mature enough to handle it and are prepaired for a nonsexual lasting relationship its acceptable, if you're in it for fun it is not.

I agree for the most part, though I will say, some rather meaningful relationships can begin at that age. It's the majority that are bound to fail. I'm not gonna test my luck, I'm waiting until I'm older and have some sort of "life security", ie; I'm able to work with and co-support a partner.

I completely agree. I'm only in seventh grade, and I've seen way too much boyfriend, girlfriend gossip. Even though I'm a big flirt I don't date. I think dating was made to help find your life partner. If you're still a kid it's not going to last, all the way until adulthood.
