Before I start I would like to say, Minecraft fanboys that are about to type "OMGZ DIS GAME IS A COPY OFZ MINECRAFT, TEH BEST GAME EVAR!!!!". For one, I would like to say: Lol no it Isn't, go back to your wood home or whatever. And two, those comments will be deleted. So without further ado, Let's begin!

Terraria, like Minecraft, is a game about building and suviving. You first customize you character, with a color scroll wheel and many hair peices. After that you make a world, choose from small, medium, or large. After that you are left to do whatever!

GAMEPLAY
Like I said, you can do anything you want. Controlls are easy enough, WASD to move, SPACEBAR to jump, swing/place block is Left mouse button, Q is to throw, Right mouse is to open doors, activate levers, throw (if in inventory screen)

FEATURES
Terraria has many features, you can build houses for NPCs to move in, the home must be four blocks tall, have a light source, table, chair, door, and walls. the NPCs have requirements, too. A merchant cannot move in if you do not have 50 silver coins. The Nurse won't move in unless you have a heart crystal and add more life. Enough with the NPCs, let's move on to mining. Terraria has many teir ores that all have to be smelted before crafted, the weakest pick teir is copper, which you start out with, along with a copper shortsword and copper axe, also at their lowest teir. The pickaxe's teir goes from: Copper, iron, silver, gold, demonite, ytand molten, after you get to the highest teir pick you can't get anymore, but once you unlock hard mode, which I'll get into later, you get drills. The lowest teir broadsword is wood, along wood being the lowest teir bow. BroadSwords go from: Wood, copper, iron, silver, gold, demonite, then the absouloutly deadly Nights Edge, made from all non-hard mode great swords, along with the Lights Bane (Demonite teir sword)
