We walked on water
and swam through air.
When I needed you,
you said you'd be there.
You said you would carry me through
disaster's doors and death's pull,
you said you'd love me forever,
you called me Beautiful.
It started early last summer,
the beginning of May.
You and Beautiful
would sneak away,
have a day of play,
he asked her to stay,
and she said yes.
But when Beautiful needed you,
you weren't there.
She was shocked as she fell
through the air,
drowned in the water,
she was lucky the current
caught her.
Through the weeks
she met with fate,
the beauty she had
cracked as easy as slate.
And when fate left,
strongly she stood.
She was going to be
the best that she could.
She turned into me,
she saw Beautiful flee,
and found out what
she was truly meant to be.
