"Ok, I get it," I said. "A little in disbelief, but I get it. So what do I do now?" I asked, slipping the rings onto my fingers. "Now," Ampon replied. "You follow me." Ampon led me out of the cave to an empty part of the beach. He looked around before waddling into the shallow waves. I followed, and right when I stepped into the ocean water, I fell flat on my face, expecting my eyes to be stung by the salty waters. I felt no pain at all. Not realizing what happened, I tried to crawl back up. "IDIOT!!!" Ampon yelled. "Mermaids can't stand!" "Wha?!" I cried. I turned over onto my back and looked down to my legs. Er, I mean, tail. It was long and purple with a giant, graceful fin. Ampon shook his head and said, "C'mon," and dove down into the waves. I followed. It wasn't very strange swimming with a tail. It was just like swimming with your legs together, but you can't feel any water between your legs... And your legs are bending in places they shouldn't be. As we swam, the water got deeper and deeper, and all while it was getting deeper, it was getting darker and darker with each flip of my tail.
