I've been noticing a lot of retro, (or older games that have been remade)
have been circulating for Nintendo lately. The Game & Watch remakes, Megaman 10, Heart Gold & Soul Silver (I'm certainly not complaining though,) so I was wondering, Do gamers really like these old-school remakes, or should they(the developers) stray to newer, more innovative titles? what's your opinion?
Well, retro games are good, (although a EarthBound or Mother remake would be nice, so I don't have to use my emulator on my wii) but remaking too many games can get some people annoyed. I like the innovation and awesome effects the new systems have, but sometimes its good to go back to the retro games once in a while.
↓EDIT: I'm also not happy that Sonic is the only playable character.
No, I am obviously not a Sonic retro-freak. I am one of few who actually enjoy the new-style games. Sonic Unleashed had the 2D platformingwith 3D graphics on certain parts of day stages, but that was the only downside I saw, in my opinion. I grew up playing Sonic 3 & Knuckles, but I couldn't care less about Sonic's 2D roots.
I'd rather have new. But actual old Sonic games make the cut, too. (I'm only getting Sonic 4 because of the story. I'm not happy with the 2D platforming with 3D graphics thing)
The remakes give me a good feeling. I love playing the new Punch-out!!! for example. They need to focus on remaking CLASSICS [LoZ, Mario Bros., FF I/III] and not stupid games like Game 'n' Watch
