I meant I said the opposite of what you said the Gen 3 bad guys were... I haven't played it for 3? years, so I don't remember if they were just evil or doing what they thought was right. If they were just evil my opinion doesn't make sense, because I'm against just evil bad guys.

Dude, its okay. The thing a lot of people are afraid of is giving their thoughts out over the internet. To be honest, you, Waste Management, and Vermillion are all doing exactly what I had hoped: Give your own opinions on the topic I brought up. I'm glad you guys took the time to dissect your gameplay experience and figure out what you liked and what you didn't.
In fact, as I progress in Black, I'm also running through Emerald. I'll admit, Black is a decent game, especially compared to D/P/P (4th gen), but I'm having a really hard time with being happy as I play it. One of the really hard parts of reviewing Black is the fact that there's no nostalgia in it, so I lose all the fond memories of the game. I've had my copy of Sapphire since 2nd grade, when it had JUST come out, and I remember SO MUCH cool stuff in it. That makes the transition that much more difficult for me.
That said, I have been taking you guys' feedback into consideration, and one of the things I want to do is get through Black so I can uncover more gameplay elements for myself before I make more of these. Don't worry though, I'll still be just as brutal as before

Quoth fabo888:Yeah!
In Gen 3 they actually had some sense, you would become the ally of the opposite your enemy. And when you beat them and the weather acted up, they would realize they did a wrong thing. They weren't really evil, they just thought that what they were doing was best...
Of course, that could be wrong...
At least, that's why I liked it. Galactic and Plasma were just like "WE'RE EVIL AHAHA".
Yeah!

Sorry this one was incomplete... I was going to get into the timing of antagonist introduction, but the space constraint said "no" and I prioritized. However, I encourage all of you to look across all the generations, and find out what you like and what you don't like. You'd be surprised by what you might learn
