Beneath The Skin

She was confused..
Didn't know what to do, 
Who had her trust? 
No one but you. 

When she needed you most, 
You weren't even there..
You said you were sorry,
But didn't truly care. 

She did though, 
And she cried on her bed.
She hugged a Teddy, 
Really wanting you instead. 

And You didn't see it, 
Her cries and pain.
She covered it up well, 
But underneath was Insane. 

Look beneath the skin, 
And open your eyes.
See what she wants, 
And take her by surprise. 

Hold her tight.
And whisper in her ear, 
"Don't Worry One Bit, 
I'll Always Be Here.."
