When a user first transitions over from Windows to Linux, often times they will find themselves struggling to adjust to the new environment. Sure, it becomes natural after a while, but those moments of frustration to new users is often enough to scare them away. Zorin OS 6 is a version of Ubuntu designed to make the transition easier for the people coming from Windows.

Let's start off by saying Zorin is a blast to use. It has the functionality of any good Linux distrobution, but with a familiar Windows 7 UI. It feels clean and fun to use, and I never felt too cluttered in the environment.

Making the transition even easier is an included version of Wine (which allows Windows programs to be run on Linux). Wine's compatibility is as sketchy as ever, but it gets the job done for a decent amount of programs.
Also included is LibreOffice, which is an open-source office application collection very similar to the programs found in Microsoft Office.
There are few complaints I have with this operating system. First off, the menu is a little sketchy. Every now and again I cannot open the Start Menu, and occasionally the menu will crash and restart.
This is a fine distrobution, but wether or not you install it boils down to how much you love the Windows interface. After all, isn't the reason we all love Linux is because it's different?

Anyway, I give this distro a solid 8/10, only because it is a helpful distrobution and a clean, sleek one at that.
