Fading Colors

Faded photographs,
memories I shall not forget.
In this one you're holding me,
bestowing a kiss upon my head.
I smile through my tears,
everything was so bright then.
Now I pray as I close my eyes
for it to be as it was again.

Vivid dreams
of you and me
as I sleep.
Long ago, it seems,
we were happy...

World is turning to shades of gray,
it grows duller with each passing day.
Colors of the past fade away
along with words that we used to say.
Time only proceeds to make it worse,
as I sit and watch life take its course.
Moments from our time together are blurred
as I'm surrounded by fading colors.

Yet another lonely night
I spend in the room we once shared.
How I long to hear your voice once more,
but you'll never know how much I care.
You insist it's not meant to be,
but then why does this hole in my chest grow larger?
A void that can never be repaired,
that void you used to fill in my heart.

Love this poem. Reminds me so much of my grandmother -RIP-, and especially the fact that it was made on her birthday, this is just beautiful.

Ma'am, you have a beautiful voice, not all youngsters know how to sing, and you took my musical heart away. Loved the Echo cover, GUMI is my favorite vocaloid.
