Screaming and crying
She just can't cope
Inside she is dying
She's lost all hope

She's good at pretending
And no one would know
Her life's quickly ending
Though it doesn't show

Inside of her she knows
That no one would really care
The real her never shows
So her pain she'll never share

But one day she met this guy
He took all the pain away
She was on such a high
To him anything she could say

Eight months of her life spent
On the road to recovery
Yet it seems she was not meant
To ever be truly happy

After eight months he'd had enough
She was a waste of his time
And she gave him back all of his stuff
But he committed a crime

He stole a piece of her heart
And still won't give it back
So now she's falling apart
And she's gone off track

She thought she was strong
Promised never to do it again
But before too long
Pretending drove her insane

She went into a relapse
And went back to her old ways
One day she will collapse
And be lost for the rest of days

Pretending is killing her
But no one else can see
To no one will it occur
That this "her" is me ..
