To a long lost friend...


Old Friend

Old friend,
Its been awhile.
I decided to write a letter
In my sleepless hours,
Because lately
I've thought of you,
And all of the things that
We promised that we'd do.

Wishing, hoping,
Maybe I could say
Just one more thing
I think you need to know.

I've not forgotten
How you are part of my past.
We had fond memories,
They will certainly last.
Is it okay to
Admit that I do
Kind of miss you?
Friendship lives forever
In the heart.

Ever since
That day you said "goodbye"
I still saw your face
Within my mind.
I still hear that
Melody you sang to me.
Oh, I beg of you,
Don't forget me, please.

Wishing hoping,
You might possibly hear
What I have to say.
I hope to meet again someday.
