Welcome to my second anime review. This review will be on Steins;Gate. I'll try not to spoil anything, and will try not to spoil anything in the comments. Please note, that I would put a picture up, but I couldn't find any good one that had the title and I good save to my 3ds. If this blog is a bad blog, at least tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Rateing: TV-14 (I think)
Genre: Sci-fi, Romance, Mystery.
Episodes: 25 (the 25th episode is not on funimation's youtube channel) each being about half an hour

Animation/Artwork: 4/5
The artwork for this anime is great, it really complements the story and characters well. It's somewhat realistic. You can tell that the target audience is an older crowd from pictures alone. The animation is fluent and it transations well between frames.

Characters: 9/10
All of the characters in this anime are so eccentric. The characters really complement each other in a way that enhances the story so well, and I love the manner in which Okarin develops, it makes his mood kinda like a roller coaster, it goes up, then down, then up again. I especially love the self-proclaimed mad scientist's actions throughout the series and his determination. If one of his lab partners are in danger, he'll he won't stop until he knows that their safe, even going so far as to almost dying for someone, even if they don't know him. I know it sounds like I'm praising him, but if I talk about anyone else, I would end up giving a spoiler that'd end up preventing you from watching this show. But trust me, every character that you meet are relevent to the story, as well as each other's actions.

Voice Acting: 8/10

Japanese voices: 4/5

American voices: 4/5

I put my rating for the english dub, even though there are only about four episodes. While those voices aren't as good as the Japanese voices, it wasn't significant enough to get a different rating. The both voices are good and the acting is really well done. Though the crying sounds didn't stand out and didn't sound as much as crying. This is forgiven, however, because it does sound like all the other anime crying.

Story: 20/25

Okarin is a self-proclaimed mad scientist. He and his childhood friend go to a lechture, but when headed back to the lab something strange happens. After 'bumping' into someone he saw dead, he soon finds out that his microwave is a time-machine. When he and his lab mates experiment on it he discovers he has the "reading steiner" ability, which allows him to remember memories across world lines, alternate universes created through messing with time. The lab members countinue to experiment, much to the dismay of the shop owner down stairs.

The story plays around with the theory of time travel, and even eludes to other shows. I was so ecstatic when the show made Doctor Who and Back to the Future references. Though, there are two episodes that get annoying, they are important to the story.

Overall: 41/50

This is one of the best animes I have ever seen. If you like anime, this has got to be on your list of anime to watch if you haven't already. Though if you haven't watched anime before, but is interested in it, I can't recommend this to you yet, you should watch a few other animes first.
