It's that time of year again when we unlock our dusty costume trunk, fill the donation pots to bursting point and generaly have a fantastic time raising money for the less fortunate.
Comic Relief [Or Red Nose Day] is widley popular in the U.K. When we all do some thing fun for those who get less stuff than we do. Many schools hold Non-School Uniform days [Where you donate money to dress up] and with the surgested donation of £1, you cam buy a very funny, slip on, foam nose which vary in themes each year. If it's an oddly dated year (Example, 2001, 2003, 2011, e.g.t) then it will be Comic Relief, but if it's an evenly dated year (2004, 2006, 2012, e.g.t.) it would be Sport Relief, where you do something a little more sporty. Both events are held on the 15 of March, every year [Depending on which year] and personaly it's one of my favourite charity events of the year. The BBC hold a all night program, with funny sketches from T.V celebraties, a total and final count of all the money raised and very emotinal videos on why we're donating and where the money is going. My school are doing cake sales [By the science steps, like every damned cake sale] penalty shoot-out, probaly a sponcered Sixth Form boys leg waxing and 80's fancy dress. WHOO! 80'S! YEAH! I'll probaly do David Bowie [When he did the role as The Goblin King] or Adam from Adam and The Ants [Stand and Deliver] If I can't do any of them, I'll do some form of punk rock.
So! Tell me what you'll be doing for Comic Relief this year. Maybe a dress up day, whilst walking over the local bridge, a P.J day, a cake sale, or maybe a Comic Relief Harlem Shake? Tell me in the coments and if you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask.
