I loved hatena, watching other peoples flipnotes. Though I never made much flipnotes.

I miss hatena...everything's not the same for me anymore...and all my friends are never around anymore since it closed.I was Brittany from flipnote hatena.Some people called me "popular".I loved making flipnotes & drawing as I chatted w/ fan's & friends.Now it's all gone...& now they expect me to pay for flipnote studio?It's stupid...

I'm kinda okay with hatena being shut down. Last time I checked, all the talented and creative users left due to people copying their flipnotes. Also, alot of the notes were overused "games" that you had to give stars in order to play. These got immensely popular and drowned out alot of good flipnotes. I also remember (although I don't know if you still have to do this)having to mail their HQ to get an account, so alot of talented people didn't get accounts and post mainly because it was too much hassle mailing Japan(I think they had a HQ in America, but thats still far away for some countrys*COUGHcanadaukbritainCOUGH*). I'm not paying 3 dollars to join a cruddy community. P.S sorry if some of this is invalid, I used to go on Hatena 24/7 until Gizmo and Boss stopped making notes a long while ago.

Ruined flipnote, oh wait, it was bad anyway.

But giving discounts to popular flipnoters is ridiculous. People who put effort will hve to pay and star hungry reposters will get the discounts.

@DeThDuDe, Nintendo doesn't own Hatena... Iwata isn't developing this.

Sigh, get over it. I like what Mr. Iwata is doing. It's for the best. And plus, less noobs will be on 'cause they're little kids that can't pay for anything (depending if they're spoiled noobs).

You're all forgetting what the fee is ment for. It's to keep the Flipnote servers going. And as for me, I won't mind paying a small fee, so long as:
1: It's easy to pay
2: My Flipnote get enough attention that makes it beneficial to me
3: The service and app is worth it.

One last side-note, I sure hope my L/R buttons work, because my L button never worked properly on my DSi(dirt came through the crappy Vol. buttons), making it next to impossible for me to comfortably access the 2nd functions of FNS. (I'm left handed in case you didn't catch on)

Another good idea for Nintendo would be the abilty to use our Club Nintendo points to pay the fee instead of money.

Moulder pretty much already said enough for me so there is no point in repeating. However, it does kinda suck because I had few friends on there.

If you don't want to pay for this new feature you can simply export your animations and upload them to YouTube. That's free!

I loved Hatena, but I really have no way to access it and it just isn't as interesting as it was back then.
But I'm also hoping to get a 3DS real soon... For the third time..

I don't know. Nintendo is LETTING us use their Consoles and Games and Apps. I understand them putting a price on the World one. In fact, I was surprised they didn't put a fee on Hatena. They kind of deserve to be paid for letting us post animations that ANYONE ON EARTH can see.

But that 3 dollars a month thing will most likely not happen.. There is no need for nintendo to do it. And as banman said it isn't confirmed

yeah this is 1 of the stupid ideas of nintendo.

The fee is stupid, but Hatena is also stupid.

I haven't seen any official source that states the price will be three dollars.
