In the world of Android, there's plenty of customization when it comes to homescreens. So why settle for basic? 'Theming' phones has become very popular recently and is only getting better. It's like designing your own homescreen. Every part of it, with various apps, widgets, and wallpapers. Now that you know what it is...

This is a review and heads-up for what to expect if you'll be theming your smartphone with this screen. I found it on My Color Screen and the FULL tutorial can be found here along with all the apps, files, and wallpapers you need. (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL)
I first saw this on Google Plus but didn't know on what to expect when dealing with multiple apps at once. Here are some screen shots of my own version on my Galaxy S3. (the quality may be off because of the upload)
This is the home screen with my most used apps and an app drawer button. The clock is nice and visible along with the date below it.
These are my favorite apps and used quite frequently. Divided by 'Social Network' and 'Utilities' because I use both most often.

It gives my phone a nice, clean, simple, and easy layout with cool looking icons from the icon packs. Heads-up:
-Minimal MIUI Go Apex Theme wasn't in the Play Store until a few days ago and I think a few of the apps cost money. If your not willing to, download the apk from a third-party site.
-The video was made a while ago and some of the apps have updated since then. The layout may not be the same for example there's a part that you need to click "restore" when there isn't one, only an "import" button.
-The guy in the video speaks FAST, try to keep up.
Once you have all the apps and files you need in the right places everything should work just fine! There are dark versions available further down the tutorial page.
Watch the Youtube video carefully and bare with it and if you mess up go through it again SLOWER. It really works and helps. I gave up my first time but went back later and got the job done.
Impression: I loved how it looked white, and the offset of gray. The icons at the bottom switch you to different screens with your apps and widgets on them. You can customize EVERYTHING. Make your 'apps' button say 'derp', make the 'news' say 'boring stuff', doesn't matter. The weather widget works and is convenient. The music toggles work great along with the system settings toggles. I even added the second row in my 'Social Network' bunch because I had more than 5. I recommend this to anyone looking for something new and enjoyable!
Overall, it was GREAT to show my iPhone buddies the theme and see their jaws drop. It also looks nice and feels like my phone is running even faster? I'm not sure that's possible! I'll review some other easy ones if this was too hard for you. This will make you feel better about your smartphone.
