A Few months ago,Nintendo announced downloading retail games on the 3ds eshop.This blog will show the pros and cons of both retail and downloaded versions.
Download games.
Pros
1.They can be cheaper than the retail version.
2.You dont have to leave to get them.
3.You can play them while another game is in the slot.
4.They are attached to the 3ds,so you wont have to worry about losing it.
Cons
1.they may take a long time to download.
2.they cant be borrowed or given to anyone.
3.They can cost more than retail versions.
4.If you lose the 3ds,you lose the game.
5.You can only have a certian amount at one time.
Retail games.
Pros.
1.They can be borrowed and given as a gift.
2.If you lose the 3ds,you dont lose the game.
3.They dont take up space on the 3ds.
4.They dont have to download with a long wait time.
Cons.
1.They are small,and can eisily get lost
2.They may cost more than the downloadable version.
3.you have to either leave the house or wait a while to get one.
I wanna know that if you buy a game from eshop (Which I did) and say my 3ds broke down so I bought a new 1 Can I get my games back for free or something

If you have a club nintendo account nintendo may be able to retrieve your games.
I'd be more inclined to buy digital versions of games (that have retail releases, too) if they were cheaper. Several middle men are cut from the process, so they can afford to drop the price slightly. Sure, there are occasional sales, but retail games go on sale, too. As long as digital releases are $40.00 on the 3DS and $60.00 on the Wii U, I'm going to the brick-and-mortar store.

Certain games are cheaper. For example, Tetris Axis is still about $20 at GameStop but it's currently about $9 something on the eShop. Resident Evil games are $20 each on the eShop, where the retail copies, Mercenaries especially which is still $40, are more pricey.
