Nintendo 64 Classic: Majora's mask has been confimed for the 3DS in the latest Nintendo Direct. One of the darker games in the series is set to be released next year!
The game bases on hero Link being taken away from the familiar setting of Hyrule, placing him instead in the land of Termina, and tasks him with saving the world by halting the imminent collision of the moon. Players can travel forward and backwards in time, but they only have three in-game days to stop Termina's complete destruction.
This has been expected for quite a while as many hints had been given, the first one was that Skull Kid was added as an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros new installment. Secondly they announced back in 2011 was that they wanted to make a original Zelda game before they made a Remake, Two Years went by and we have A Link between worlds, and that meant the next game would likely be a remake. But now it has been officialy announced! This is a big announcement, and Zelda fans are happy for this.
"As we worked on the remake version, we set out to maintain the original level of challenge, while keeping the game accessible for anyone," Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said in an announcement. "So we also focused on making sure the gameplay experience was as smooth as possible."
Not much has been announced about the game other than it shall be released Spring next year and of course will have a few tweaks from the original but for now that's all that has been announced from Nintendo.
Europe will also be receiving a special edition of the game which includes a SteelBook, a Majora’s Mask pin badge, and a poster. It is unknown if it will be coming to other countries yet.
Other than this some DLC for Mario Kart was announced, Pikmin movies, Duck Hunt coming to the Wii U and in older news a secret mission in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphires demo was found.
