"Video games are meant to be just one thing. Fun. Fun for everyone!" - Satoru Iwata
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has passed away from a bile duct growth. Nintendo recently issued a statement in regards to Mr. Iwata's death. You can take a look by clicking on the following link here. My condolences go out to not only Satoru Iwata's family, but everyone in general. The news surely shocked me, and I'm sure it did to you if you've been following his Nintendo Directs. This has been a sad day for Nintendo and to entire gaming industry.
Thanks for all those Nintendo Directs you provided us throughout the years. You will be missed.
Out of all the suits in the game industry, Iwata was unmistakably one of the most human of them. He had a genuine passion for games and the game industry, and he was a very honest and straightforward businessman. Though there were times when I felt like I didn't understand what they were trying to do, I never once felt like Nintendo had done something anti-consumer, or had done something to break my trust. Iwata was really the president Nintendo deserved, and it'll be hard to replace him. He will be missed.
