When terrorists attack, they plan on getting change by striking fear into our hearts and making us change because we're scared or because we think can't do it, but we can't fall into their hands by changing the way we do things just because of this. We need to learn and get stronger because knowledge is the true strength. We have to be vigilant and courageous towards the problem rather than backing down. If we change due to fear, they will have accomplished what they intended, so we need to change out of spite, out of bravery, out of unity. We have to start the change. We can't just sit back and wait for change to come or
The wrong kind of change will come. We have to come together to eliminate the threats that are at large. But at the end of the day, we all need to stay united.
What I'm most concerned is the fact that the entire western world, the U.S. included, will not treat ISIS as a legitimate threat until more scenarios like these occur. I'm afraid that more and more attacks will occur as a result of ISIS's ideals, and with them more and more people dead.
This reminds me of World War II, in which we did not enter until a severe attack occured on Pearl Harbor.
Unfortunately, I probably have a lot of people who disagree. But I honestly just want the U.S. to use all forces needed to wipe out ISIS before more stuff like this happens, not degrade it like they're doing now. It's just not proving too effective.
