Jaiden ran upstairs, grabbed a blue doll, ran back, and flopped on the couch. She moved it on her palm, and whispered, "Wake up."


Chapter 3


The blue doll sat up, looked around, and saw Jaiden, Jay, and Leo. "Um.. hello? Who are you?" asked Blue. Leo decided to talk first and said, "I'm one of you." "But how?" Blue questioned. Leo then explained how Jaiden can breathe life into things and how Blue was just a 'feature' of the gift that Jaiden had.

"I kind of get it.." said Blue. Jay piped up and said, "This is so cool, though, how these are.. alive!" Jaiden laughed and said to Jay, "Well, it's getting late, and you should be heading home." "Yeah, that's true. I'll see you tomorrow!" Jay said as he gathered his things and left.

It was now just Jaiden left with the dolls. "Can we do something fun now?" whined Leo, "That boy isn't much fun." "Don't say that about Jay!" exclaimed Jaiden, "Do something fun with Blue here. I'm sure you'd like to get to know her a little bit more."

Blue looked up when Jaiden was talking with Leo. "Huh," She thought, "That must be my name.. Blue.. I like it." Blue stood up and tried to walk towards Jaiden and Leo, but fell over. Leo quickly walked over to Blue and helped her up. He held her yarn arms and showed her how to take a few steps. Jaiden looked down and smiled. "I'm glad to see that you guys are getting along." She said. "I need to go do a few chores. I'll be right back. Don't go anywhere."

Jaiden left the room, and the two dolls looked at eachother. "Lets go exploring." said Leo. "Didn't you hear what she said?" asked Blue.

"Yeah, so?"

"I think we should stay here."

"Oh, come on, buzzkill."

"Okay, but if we get caught, I'm blaming you."

"Haha, let's go to the kitchen first!"

The dolls leaped down from the couch and started towards the big room. The kitchen consisted of a white room with brown cabinets, a large refrigerator, and an island in the middle. "What first?" asked Blue. Leo lept on the foot bar of a bar stool and said, Let's climb up here and see what's on top." They shimmied up the legs and finally reached the top of the stool. They hopped up on the wooden island and saw what looked to be a scarf running down the middle with a few lit candles in the center.

They were curious and got closer to the candles. "Woah.. what is that?" asked Leo, who was hypnotized by the way the flame danced around. "I don't feel to good about this.." stated Blue. "But it's so pretty..." Leo said, and walked to the edge of the candle.

Jaiden had just finished taking out the garbage, and was walking inside. She stepped into the living room and didn't see Leo or Blue. "Oh no, where are are they?!" Jaiden exclaimed. She started running around, looking for her features. She frantically thought, "Maybe they're in another room," and ran off towards the kitchen.

"Just look at it move." said Leo. "I wouldn't get too close if I were you.." Blue said. She tried to grab Leo and pull him away from the candle. "Can't you see that it will hurt you??" "I want to keep watching it." Leo said as broke out of her grasp.

As he reached out towards the flame, Jaiden shouted, "No!!" Leo snapped out of his trance and quickly drew his arm back. "That will destroy you!" Jaiden exclaimed. She ran over to the dolls and snatched the two up. "I told you we shouldn't have left the couch." said Blue flatly.

"That's enough out of you. You guys need to either listen to what I tell you, or you have to be asleep with me at all times. Now which will it be?" asked Jaiden firmly. "..We'll listen.." The features muttered. "Now, I want you two to behave for the rest of today and tomorrow. Okay?" "Why can't you just put us to sleep until you need us?" said Leo gloomily. "I need help studying for a test and as a punishment, you guys are going to help." stated Jaiden. The dolls groaned and did what they were told.
