Helena: "All I want is for you to repent, and to see the error of your ways."
"And if you seek to atone for your past sins, then join me, as I'm planning to kill that former "God" of yours, as well as the War God, Adaman."
Slick: "Wait, you hate Adaman, Great One?"
"Those who put me to death, did so because I Worshipped the False God Balroth, instead of Adaman, and you're telling me that I should Worship neither of them?"
"Then who should I Worship, oh Great One?"
"You?"
"Or perhaps that Scary looking Dragon beside you?"
Helena: "Well, while I'm probably powerful enough to get away with playing God, I'd rather not. And Necky here isn't interested in that, either."
"Just Worship any God or Goddess that isn't an Evil piece of garbage."
"Someone like Evelyn, or one of the Nature Gods, or something."
"Hell, if you wanted to, you could even become a Draconist, although I doubt you're cut out for that."
Slick: "Worship Evelyn? I never even considered that…"
"Evelyn Worshippers were always the most hated of all the heretics, because they believed in Peace, instead of War."
"Have things in Evilonia changed that much, oh Great One?"
Helena: "No, but I'm going to change them, starting with our psychotic current Queen, Misandria."
"You see, I'm going to be amassing an Undead Army, to put on a little show for my future "mom", who happens to be the Queen, as well as to help me achieve my many goals. You want to join me?"
Slick: "Yes, oh Great One! I would be glad to serve you!"
"And from now on, I shall Worship Evelyn, the Goddess of Peace, and shall never murder anyone again!"
Helena: "That's good to hear."
"If a Balroth Worshipper like you can repent, then I can definitely save all of those poor people who were forced to Worship Adaman, and go die in some stupid War that only our psychopath Queen, and her Evil little Puppet Masters want."
Helena then proceeded to try and bind his Soul to his Skeleton, and it was a complete success.
He was thrilled to have his old Body again (even though it was just his Skeleton), as well as to be forgiven for his horrible past sins.
Afterwords, she put his Soul into a Phylactery, to store it, and put both his Skeleton and his Soul into her Magical Rucksack.
She then proceeded to dig up the Graves of every person who Worshipped an Evil God (most of whom were Adamantists) in the Cemetery, successfully Summoning the Souls of every person condemned to Eternal Damnation in Helheim, and successfully Reattaching each of their Souls back to the Skeletons of their former Bodies.
By Age 13, she had amassed a small Undead Army, one that would surely impress her future adoptive mother, Misandria, as well as be useful in her Quest to save Midgard from it's ongoing World War, and to free those trapped in Muspelheim for all Eternity.
When the time came, she was brought before the Queen herself, in her Royal Palace in the Evilonian Capitol of Palatia.
Misandria: "Well, well, well… If it isn't the famous Helena Dusklight, the little girl with the "Freak Gene"."
"Now tell me: Are the rumors true?"
"Did you really train with the Drow in Helheim?"
"And can you really Raise The Dead?"
Helena (Age 13): "Damn! You're pretty slow, considering that you're "Royalty" and all!"
"Of course I can do those things, and a Hell of a lot more, too!"
"All that family inbreeding must have done a number on your intelligence, hahaha!"
I appreciate that there's a lot going on here, but I feel like character background and development should be embedded, if you know what I mean.
Also, damn, badmouthing royalty. You have a death wish?

Yeah, I had difficulty in progressing the story at a reasonable pace, trying to explain the world and it's history (most of which was relegated to the glossaries), trying to convey the different characters personalities, and also their respective backgrounds and development.
(And I wound up putting most of their background stuff in the glossaries, as well.)
And lol, you'll find that Helena Dusklight has VERY ambitious goals in life, and also VERY little fear. (Then again, she is best friends with a powerful dracolich, even if she's dead.)

Have no fear when it comes like that. Working in details in a world to paint a full picture is a hard skill to learn that only comes with time and practice.

Thanks!
You've gotta admit that that whole thing of me just trying to explain everything in the glossaries was kinda weird though, lol! (Then again, I was restricted by my 2DS's text limit, too.)

That's why I'm grateful to have a copy & paste on DSi, where they didn't patch a security vulnerability :p
But yeah, continuing a series where you improve greatly while writing it is quite difficult, as Mimi once told me. Might be that and a whole truckload of other factors

Yeah lol, that's probably one of the biggest issues I have with my 2DS's browser, TBH.
(With no video being a VERY close 2nd.)
And yeah, you're absolutely right.
(My RL situation delayed the release of Chapter III by several months last year, BTW.)

Yeah, lol!
I THINK this is the best way of doing it, but I'm not 100% sure.
Also, do you think it was a good idea to put the Glossary in the 1st part, and the Trivia in the 2nd Part?
I figured that the Glossary wpuld be necessary to understand everything, but the other is just informational, and might even spoil parts of it.
(That's why I disabled comments on the 1st part, too, to avoid potential spoilers.)

Thanks!
BTW, I don't think I mentioned it, but Evelynism is (loosely) based on Christianity, and the Secret Evelynists in Evilonia are based on the Secret Christians, that lived in countries where Christianity was outlawed, or where Christians were persecuted.

This Chapter was so long, I reached the text limit, and had to divide it into 2 parts.
The later Chapters will be even longer, so you can expect 2, 3, or even 4 part Chapters in the future.
Anyway, here's some more MoD Trivia:
Adaman and Evelyn are both opposites: Adaman is named after Adam, while Evelyn is named after Eve; Adaman is a War God, and Evelyn is a Peace Goddess; Adaman is an Evil God, Evelyn is a good one; and Adaman is one of the Vanir (the new Gods, who now reside in Vanaheim), while Evelyn is one of the Aesir (The older Gods, who now reside in Alfheim, along with the Angels and Light Elves).
Balroth is named after MANY different Evil things, including Morgoth (from Tolkien's writings), the Balrogs (also Tolkien), Baal (one of the 3 Prime Evils in Diablo), and the German word "roth" (you have to be familiar with Conspiracy Theories to get that one).
Both Helena Dusklight and Helena Blackheart have the same first name.
Despite what Helena Blackheart says in the Story, Helena is NOT a common name in MoD, and it is extremely unusual that they both have that name.
(They are both named after Hel, the Goddess of the Underworld, from RL Norse Mythology.)
In MoD, Alfheim and Vanaheim are both just the 2 different halves of Asgard, and Svartalfheim and Muspelheim are the 2 different halves of Helheim.
In actual Norse Mythology, Asgard, Vanaheim, Alfheim, Svartalfheim, Muspelheim, and Helheim are all completely different Worlds, located in different parts of the "World Tree", Yggdrasil.
The display on a Potentiometer shows 2 single digit hexidecimal numbers, and the highest known IPP and IMP ratings ever recorded in humanoids has never exceeded 15.
Helena has an IPP/IMP rating of 0/13, and so the Potentiometer read "0D" when she was checked as a baby.
The Spell "Go to Hell", was actually supposed to be a Menu option, if MoD were an RPG.
Basically, she would be able to got to Svartalfheim to resupply, to buy Equipment, etc., and you would regularly do so in between Grinding and Questing and stuff.
Although Adaman and Balroth are both Evil, Balroth (and their Worshippers) are WAY more Evil than Adamantists.
Adamantists DO believe in killing people in War, but they also (generally) have a Code of Honor, and DON'T believe in indiscriminate mass murder, like Balroth Worshippers do.
Necrofyrmythyr visited Svartalfheim quite often in the past, long before Helena was even born.
She was a close Friend of the Drow, and although she hasn't really been able to do anything in the past 65 million years, she DID regularly visit the Drow, just to talk with them and stuff.
Although Adaman, Evelyn, and The Snake (Balroth) are named after Adam, Eve, and the Serpent/Devil in the Garden of Eden, their relationships to each other are COMPLETELY different.
Even though Slick Rotfink was given a name, and even a somewhat vague backstory, they are basically just another one of the many countless people saved from Damnation by Helena.
Both Helena Blackheart and Mordecai Grimsoul are Lichs, just like Necrofyrmythyr.
(Helena Dusklight isn't one yet, although you can expect that to change pretty soon.)
Helena is NOT an Evelynist, although she has a great deal of respect for them.
(Both of her biological parents were Secret Evelynists, as was Lisa Trueheart.)
Although Balroth Worship is illegal in Evilonia, there are many Conspiracy Theories alleging that a Secret Society of Balrothists, known as the "Union of The Snake", secretly control the Evilonian Government, and are even responsible for the current World War.
(They are the "Evil little Puppet Masters" that Helena was referring to.)
Even though Evilonia imposes Adamantism on it's population, roughly one third of the Evilonian Empire's population secretly Worships Evelyn, the God who is most hated by the Church of Adaman.
The 2 Nations Evilonia is at War with, Akushina and Velnir, have different State Religions (Evelynism and [COLOR=]Draconism[/A]), and very different cultures (Velnir is somewhat similar to RL Russia, while Akushina is sort of a cross between China and Japan), they are VERY close allies, and there is NO hostility between them whatsoever.
Helena didn't really socialize with any other humans at the orphanage were she grew up, other than Lisa Trueheart.
She'll soon be getting 4 older sisters, however, so you can expect A TON more dialogue in the next Chapter.
(It'll probably have to be a 3 part one, lol!)
