I still don't have @Amjam or @Aeries Showdown usernames, and both @Aeries and @CdogYEET have suggested that they might not be able to participate, but I've chosen not to remove them from the bracket until I am certain that they won't be able to participate.

Hopefully i will have some time to prepare before the tournament, which I suspect will be the case (hell, if i dont procrastinate, i might get it done almost immediately).

I've been testing out the new NatDex DUbers format with regular rules lately, and (as expected) Calyrex-Ice w/TR and Calyrex-Shadow seem pretty popular, as do Primal Groudon and Kyogre, EKiller Arceus, and the usual annoying Incineroars and Fargirafs that annoyed the heck outta me in NatDex DOU.
(Although my Salamence + Dragonite duo took countered the former perfectly, the latter was a PITN.)

Although I've only had a few matches so far, I'm not seeing a lot of Mega Rayquazas or Terapagoses, and you can bet your Heavy-Duty Boots that I'll be bringing both to the tournament. Tera Starstorm seems even better than I had expected (I've been using a Choice Specs set), and the only type that Terapagos is weak against is Fighting, and so fae it doesn't seem like Koraidon or any other big Fighting-types are that popular, although I'd assume Zamazenta is.

Anyway, me adding the CAP Pokémon and getting rid of the excess clauses might have an impact on the meta, and certainly adding Shedinja will. Teravolt, Turboblaze, Mold Breaker, Sunsteel Strike, and Moongeist Beam are all reliable ways of taking Shedinja out regardless of what its type is, and so it'd probably best to be prepared with a few Pokémon with those, since Terastallizing can technically be used to protect Shedinja sandstorm damage, Leech Seed, poison, burns, etc.

(I was in the exact same situation myself back in 2020, when Divine Crusader held his Pokémon Showdown tournament.)

I'll be sure to share transcripts of the battles with you at least though, and if you know someone here on Paint who'd be willing to battle on your behalf with a team that you came up with, I'd allow it as well. :)

This BB thread is for discussing the annual SDK Pokémon Tournament, which I held for the first time last year, and I'm currently holding again this year, as I mentioned in my Year of the Draconid blog.

Now that it's actually a thing, I plan on using the NatDex Doubles Ubers battle format for this year's tournament, although I am personally leaning towards using a modified version of those rules that allows for the use of Shedinja—which was banned due to its unique ability to exploit Terastallization with its Wonder Guard Ability—as well as all 77 CAP Pokémon, evasion-increasing moves, OHKO moves, and multiple Pokémon of the same species being on the same team.
(I see no reason to unban the move Assist due to the possibility of “Revivecats” becoming an issue, though.)

In order to make the above modifications to NatDex Doubles Ubers rules for your matches in the tournament, challenge your opponents on Pokémon Showdown using the following command:

/challenge gen9nationaldexdoublesubers @@@+Shedinja,+CAP,!Evasion Moves Clause,!OHKO Clause,!Species Clause

Yup, they sure are! :) In fact, my very first Pokémon of all was a Squirtle, the most based unevolved Pokémon of all! :)

How to Play

You state a Pokémon and a move they can use that is super effective on the previous post's Pokémon.
Restrictions:
1. Sableye and Spiritomb are banned.
2. No status moves.

In light of the addition of Fairy-types being added in Gen 6 (which are super effective against them), it makes sense that the ban on Sableye and Spiritomb no longer apply, but aside from that, those are the rules.

OK, WTF...

First of all, moves don't miss in "It's super effective!", and second of all, Enamorus can't use Dig.
(The only one of the Forces of Nature that can is Landorus, and that's just because he's a Ground-type.)

Good point, although I certainly hope that that’s going to be changing in the near future.
(I plan on trying to submit more blogs and stuff here, but there’s only so much good that that sorta thing can do, y’know?)

I’m more focused on that Pokémon Showdown tournament and MoD RN, but I fo still plan on submitting some Fakemon ideas of mine here, and now that royal-rawr is back they might do the same. :)
